Matthew Hughes on Nebula Award preliminary ballot

Matthew Hughes's novella "The Helper and His Hero," published in The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction, is on the preliminary ballot for the Nebula Awards, nominated for and voted on each year by members of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America.

The other works on the preliminary ballot in the novella category are Bruce Sterling's "Kiosk," Gene Wolf's "Memorare" and Lucius Shepard's "Stars Seen Through Stone," also published in F&SF , and Nancy Kress's "Fountain of Age," published in Asimov's.
