Two more SF Canada members among Aurora nominees

Two more SF Canada members are among the nominees in the French and fan categories of the Prix Aurora Awards.

In the Meilleur livre en français/Best Long-Form Work in French category, Les Mémoires de l'Arc by Michèle Laframboise (Médiaspaul, 2004) is one of the nominees, along with Terre des Autres by Sylvie Bérard (Alire, 2004), Les Jours de l`ombre by Francine Pelletier (Alire, mai 2004), Oniria by Patrick Senécal (Alire, 2004), and Suzanne, ouvre-toi by Yves Steinmetz (Éditions de la Paix, 2004).

Michele is also nominated in the Meilleure nouvelle en français/Best Short-Form Work in French category for "Ceux qui ne comptent pas" (Solaris 149). Other nominees in that category are "Galdana" by Richard Blanchette (Solaris 150), "Anne de la Terre" by Mehdi Bouhalassa (Solaris 148), and "Poussière de diamant" by Mario Tessier (Solaris 151).

Meanwhile, Don Bassie is nominated in the Fan Achievement (Other)/Accomplissement fanique (autre) category for his Web site Made in Canada. Other nominees in that category are filksinger Karen Linsley, the Bright Weaving CD by Martin Springett, entertainer Larry Stewart and filksinging group Urban Tapestry.
